Comes out so moist. No knife needed. Good when you are trying to cut calories and so easy to make the way you want. Added a simple honey mustard dipping sauce.

5 servings
  1. 4 cupliquid of your choice
  2. 1 clovegarlic - halved
  3. Thyme
  4. 5 pieceschicken - either breast or thigh

Cooking Instructions

25 mins
  1. 1

Put 4 cups of liquid in a skillet or pot (with lid). Add garlic and sprig of thyme. Bring to a boil and add chicken.

  2. 2

Add chicken and bring to a boil. Lower heat to simmer. Cover and simmer for 15 mins.

  3. 3

Remove from heat and let chicken sit in liquid for 5 mins.

  4. 4

I used 2 thighs, and approx. 3 cups liquid. Also added a bay leaf.....just like the flavor. My liquid was about half beer and half chicken stock. You can use whatever you like.....like wine. I use this for Salmon, also. Made an easy mac salad to go with it. The other one I will cut up and add to it for another meal.

Am an Army Vet who served as a cook for 8 years. Went to the Persian Gulf and spent 2 years in Seoul Korea. Have been a widow for 3 yrs, so don't really get to cook as much as I would like to. Now about the only time I get to "shine" in the kitchen, is when we have something at the local VFW Post. As you can see, I have 2 boys who keep me company and take up much of time.
