Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 cupCurd
  • 1 tbspGram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 pinchMustard Seeds
  • 1 pinchCumin Seeds
  • 1 pinchAsafoetida
  • 1 pinchTurmeric
  • 1/2 inchGinger
  • 1Green Chilli Chopped
  • 2-3Whole Dry Red Chilli
  • 4-5Curry Leaves
  • 1 tbspSugar
  • 1/2 tbspPurified Butter
  • 1 tbspChopped Coriander
  • Salt as per taste

Steps

  1. 1

    First mix Gram Flour with Curd. And then make it thin with water. Add Sugar and Turmeric too.

  2. 2

    Now heat Purified Butter in Sauce pan. Add Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Curry Leaves and Green Chilli. And saute it for few seconds.

  3. 3

    Then add a pinch of Asafoetida, Whole Red Chilli and crushed Ginger. And saute it for another 30-40 seconds.

  4. 4

    Now take it off the flame and pour Curd Mixture in it. And mix it. Once it is mixed well, put it on flame again on medium flame. Stir it continuously so curd won't get split.

  5. 5

    If kadhi is getting too thick add some more water and at last add Salt. Wait for first boil and that's it. Kadhi is ready.

  6. 6

    Garnish it with Fresh Coriander and Serve it with hot Khichadi.
