My favorite recipe of my father's. He didn't have it written down, just did it off the cuff. I finally watched him do it and wrote down this recipe you're seeing today.

Wash mushrooms thoroughly. Remove stems.

Melt butter is sauté pan big enough that the mushrooms can all touch the bottom of the pan. You could also use olive oil, just make sure you use enough to also cover the bottom of the pan.

Mix in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.

Add mushrooms and stems to the pan so that the opening in the mushrooms is facing down. Cook for 10 minutes.

Flip mushroom caps. Tongs work the best for this. Cook for 5 minutes.

Remove from pan and serve.
