Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupblack beans
  2. 1medium size onion
  3. 1string curry leaves
  4. 2 tbspgrated coconut
  5. 1/4 tspchilli powder
  6. 1 pinchturmeric powder
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. Coriander leaves to garnish

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Soak the black beans over night and pressure cook the beans until it is soft

  2. 2

    To the kadai add 2 tsp of oil, 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp of urad dhal, curry leaves, onions and sauté for a minute

  3. 3

    Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and mix well

  4. 4

    Add the cooked beans, sprinkle salt according to your taste and mix well

  5. 5

    Add the grated coconut and fry for 2 minutes

  6. 6

    Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves
