Ingredients

  1. 1/4 tspmethi seeds
  2. 10shallots of small onions
  3. 10 clovesgarlic
  4. 1big riped tomatoe
  5. 2 tbspgrated coconut
  6. 1 tbsptamarind extract
  7. 1/2 tspchilli powder
  8. 1 pinchturmeric powder
  9. 2 tspcoriander powder
  10. 2 tbspsesame oil
  11. 1string of curry leaves
  12. Coconut to a fine paste

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    To the kadai add sesame oil, methi seeds, onions, curry leaves, garlic cloves and fry for a minute

    Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and fry well

  3. 3

    Add tomatoes, salt and saute well till the oil oozes out

  4. 4

    Add the grounded coconut paste, little water and mix well. When it is boiling add tamarind extract and salt to taste. Put it in low flame

  5. 5

    Cook well till the oil oozes out. Serve it with hot rice

Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a typo here.... isn't it supposed to be 1/4 Cup methi (fenugreek) seeds instead of 1/4 Tsp?
