Ingredients

  1. 1 cupwhite sugar
  2. 1 cuppacked brown sugar
  3. 1 cupbutter
  4. 1/2 cupcorn syrup
  5. 1 pinchcream of tartar
  6. 1 tspbaking soda

Cooking Instructions

    Place popped popping corn in a large roasting pan.

    In a heavy saucepan stir together sugars,, butter, corn syrup and cream of tartar.

    Bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes without stirring.

  4. 4

    Remove from heat, add baking soda and stir well.

  5. 5

    Pour sugar mixture over popcorn and mix to coat well.

  6. 6

    Bake in 200°F. oven for one hour, stirring every 10 minutes.

    Let cool, stirring occasionally.

  8. 8

    Store in airtight container.

  9. 9

    Makes 20 cups, and disappears quickly!
