Mushroom Sauce for Pasta
This is my son José Marcel's favorite sauce. We all love it, and it's very easy to make.
Steps
- 1
Cook the sliced mushrooms in butter.
- 2
Be patient and let them cook through.
- 3
Stir well and add salt to taste. You'll notice they release some liquid—this is normal.
- 4
Once the mushrooms are fully cooked, add the cream.
- 5
Mix well and let cook for a few minutes. If the sauce is too thin, add the cornstarch dissolved in milk to thicken.
- 6
Add pepper and cook for 3 more minutes. Meanwhile, drain your preferred pasta.
- 7
Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve generously over your favorite pasta. Enjoy!
