Ingredients

  • 1 cupapplesauce
  • 1 cupwhite flour
  • 1 cupwheat flour
  • 1/2 cupoatmeal (optional)
  • 2 tablespoonssugar
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 3 teaspoonsbaking powder
  • to tasteCinnamon
  • to tasteNutmeg (use less than cinnamon)
  • 1/4-1/2 cupbutter (at room temperature) or vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cupsmilk
  • Walnut bits to taste (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Add a bit of the butter to a skillet to fry the pancakes later

  2. 2

    Add all ingredients, in order, to a mixing bowl and stir

  3. 3

    Heat skillet on medium until butter melts

  4. 4

    Fry them cakers a few at a time and enjoy with some sweet toppings
