Ingredients

  1. 150 gmraw papaya desseded, deskined and finely grated
  2. 25 gmraw peanuts toasted
  3. 1Juice of large lemon
  4. Few sprigs of parsley
  5. Few slices of lemon
  6. 2chilli paddis chopped roughly
  7. 1 teaspoonrock salt
  8. 1 teaspoonpalm sugar
  9. 1/2a tomato chopped roughly
  10. 2garlic pearls deskined and chopped roughly

    In a pounding bowl/mixer, pound the garlic pearls and chilli paddis well

  2. 2

    Add the chopped tomato and pound well(you may also leave it chopped roughly)

  3. 3

    Add the grated papaya and mix well

  4. 4

    Mix in the salt, sugar and lemon juice

  5. 5

    Finally add the peanuts and give it a good mix before refrigerating it for at least 15-20 minutes

  6. 6

    Serve chilled garnished with chopped parsley and sliced lemons

  7. 7

    Tip: You may choose to increase or decrease the quantity of chilli paddies as per your taste preferences

  8. 8

    Tip: in case you do not find chilli paddis, try replacing with 1-2 dry red chillies (you may need to use a mixer to grind it)

  9. 9

    Tip: For the non vegetarian version, add cooked baby crabs, prawns into the salads besides the other ingredients and serve with a semi boiled, salted egg
