In a bowl, combine the flour, semolina, carom seeds, cumin seeds, salt, oil, baking powder, and crushed coriander seeds. Mix well, then add water and knead into a dough.

Heat water in a large pot. Once it comes to a boil, shape the dough into small balls (like for puris) and drop them into the boiling water one by one.

Let them boil for 5-10 minutes (do not cover). Cut each into 4 pieces.

Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the bati pieces until golden brown. Remove and drain on a kitchen towel.

Serve the hot Bafla Bati / Dal Bati with dal.
