Ingredients

  • 2 cupssifted flour
  • 3 tablespoonsbaking powder
  • 2 teaspoonssugar
  • 3eggs
  • 11/4 cupsmilk
  • 4 tablespoonsbutter
  • 1/2 teaspoonssalt
  • 1 cupgrated American cheese

Steps

  1. 1

    Sift flour and measure

  2. 2

    Then sift flour baking powder salt and sugar 3 times

  3. 3

    To well beaten egg yolks add flour alternately with milk

  4. 4

    Add butter melted over hot water

  5. 5

    Add cheese

  6. 6

    Fold in stiffly beaten egg yolks

  7. 7

    Cook in waffle iron.
