This one is simple and taste. Made this from memory. Add some finely chopped celery to the batter before frying to make them tastier. I didn't have any at this moment, sadly, so I made them plain.

Ingredients

6-8 servings
  1. 3 cupsmashed potatoes
  2. 1egg
  3. 1 tbspsalt
  4. 1/2 tspcrushed black pepper
  5. 1 tbspgrated onion
  6. 1 tspgrated garlic
  7. 2-3 tbspkatakuriko (regular flour works fine as well)
  8. 2eggs, beaten loosely
  9. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Mix mashed potatoes with 1 egg, salt, black pepper, grated onion, grated garlic. Add flour and mix well. If the batter is too mushy, add more flour. If it is too dry, add another egg.

  2. 2

Heat the oil in a pan. I use medium heat. No need to deep fry them. The oil should cover about 1/3 or 1/4 of the patties.

  3. 3

Form patties. Immerse them a moment in 2 beaten eggs, then fry them.

  4. 4

Flip the patties when the bottom part has browned.

  5. 5

When both parts are brown, they are done!
