Ingredients

  1. 3 tbsp ghee
  2. 2 bay leaf
  3. 2 inchcinnamon stick
  4. 1star anise
  5. 5cloves
  6. 4cardamom
  7. 1/2 tsp pepper
  8. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. 1medium onion finely chopped
  10. 1 tspginger - garlic paste
  11. 5beans chopped
  12. 10 gmcauliflower
  13. 1/4 cup peas
  14. 1carrot chopped
  15. 1potato cubed
  16. 1cup-curd
  17. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  18. 1 tspkashmiri chilli powder
  19. 1/4 tspcumin powder
  20. 2 tsp biryani masala
  21. to tastesalt
  22. 6 tbspcoriander leaves finely chopped
  23. 20mint / pudina leaves roughly chopped
  24. 6 tbsp onions fried
  25. 1 1/2 cupsbasmati rice soaked 30 minutes
  26. 2 tbspsaffron water
  27. 2 cupswater

Steps

    Firstly, in a large cooker heat ghee and saute spices.

  2. 2

    Further, saute onions and ginger - garlic paste well.

  3. 3

    Additionally, add in mixed vegetables and saute till all vegetables shrinks.

  4. 4

    Now add in curd keeping flame on low.

  5. 5

    Also add in coriander leaves, mint leaves and fried onions.

  6. 6

    Spread soaked basmati rice.
    further sprinkle biryani.

  7. 7

    Masala powder and salt.
    also place in coriander leaves, mint and fried onions.

  8. 8

    Additionally, pour in saffron water and ghee.

  9. 9

    Pour water and simmer for 25 minutes.

  10. 10

    Finally, serve veg biryani prepared in cooker along with raita
