Ingredients

15-20 minutes
1-2 servings
  1. 2whole fish properly descaled and cleaned1 onion grinded into paste
  2. 1" ginger paste
  3. 4-5 clovesgarlic minced
  4. 1tomato chopped
  5. 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
  6. 1 teaspoonred chilli Powder
  7. 2slit green chillies
  8. 1/2 teaspoongaram masala powder
  9. 1 teaspoonjeera seeds
  10. 1bay leaf
  11. To tastesalt
  12. As neededoil

Steps

15-20 minutes
  1. 1

    Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder

  2. 2

    Heat oil properly and deep fry the fish,keep aside

  3. 3

    Temper jeera seeds and bay leaf in the same pan

  4. 4

    Add onion paste saute till it gets brown

  5. 5

    Add ginger garlic paste saute till raw smell goes away

  6. 6

    Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well

  7. 7

    Now add the red chilli Powder and tomatoes fry the masalas

  8. 8

    As masala starts releasing oil add the fish and simmer for 10 mnts on low heat

  9. 9

    Finally add garam masala powder and slitted green chilli

  10. 10

    Serve it with plain rice
