I just love this cake. I did one and half of the quantities to make the above. I wanted it naked.

I just love this cake. I did one and half of the quantities to make the above. I wanted it naked.

Preheat oven to 180°c

Line 2 9"(23cm) round cake pans or one 9"×13" (23×33) rectangular baking pans with parchment paper. Grease paper and the sides of pans.

In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer beat sugar and eggs together until slightly thickened, about a min.

Add flour, milk, oil,b.powder and vanilla. Beat for another minute, just until smooth and creamy. Don't overbeat.

Pour batter in to pans.

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until well baked.

NOTE: A single rectangular pan will take longer to bake than the two round ones.

Cool in pans for 10 minutes then turn on to a rack to cool completely.
