Put ginger at the bottom of the inner pot.

Put beef and tomatoes on top of the muslin cloth/cheese cloth/ white cotton bun steaming cloth.

Cover the inner pot with its cover and pull the cloth as high as you can. This is to allow the beef essence to drop to the bottom of the inner pot. Tie the cloth together.

Cook for an hour. Pour out the beef essence collected at the bottom of the inner pot. You may discard or eat the beef.
