To make the sauce, finely chop the onion and sauté until soft. Add the tomato juice, tomato paste, or a mix of both, and cook until done. Season with salt, spices, and chili to taste.

Mince the garlic and sauté in butter or oil, then add the vinegar.

Pour the sauce and the garlic-vinegar mixture over the rice and beef layers.
