Khoya Coconut Burfi

Desserts are the integral part of every meal, specially if you are having any occasion in your house. This can be served during any pujas. The vegans must try these kind of dishes since the coconut, milk, khoya(mawa) provides a large amount of nutritions that they are deprived of.

Desserts are the integral part of every meal, specially if you are having any occasion in your house. This can be served during any pujas. The vegans must try these kind of dishes since the coconut, milk, khoya(mawa) provides a large amount of nutritions that they are deprived of.
Steps

At first heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a wok and fry the cashews till light brown in colour.

Chop the fried cashews in some smaller pieces and keep it aside.

In another wok, heat the milk and bring it to boil.

As soon as it starts boiling, add the grated coconut. Also add the sugar.

Stir it continuously. Make sure your are doing so else it will burn from the bottom of the wok.

Add the khoya as soon as the coconut is totally cooked in the milk.

Mix it very well. Add the cardamom powder and half tablespoon of ghee. Stir it continuously untill you get a thick and tighter consistency.

Grease the remaining ghee in a container and pour the burfi mix that was cooked in the previous steps.

Garnish it with the cashews and freeze it in the refrigerator for an hour.
