Soak tuvar dal & rice for half an hour. In a pressure cooker add dal rice, salt, turmeric & cook.

In a pan heat ghee add jeera, hing, finely sliced onion (remove little fried onions & keep aside)add tomatoes & green chillies, ginger & garlic (optional) & cook fr smtime.

Add red chilli powder, haldi, salt & cook till it all is well cooked.

Now add dal rice to it & cook till all blend together.
Before serving heat little oil add jeera, akha kashmiri mirchi cut into two, fried onion & sprinkle on top.
