Ingredients

2 :00-2:30 hours
6 servings
  • 500 gramsAll Purpose Flour
  • 1 bunchSpinach chopped
  • 2 cupsMashed Potatoes
  • 1 tbspchopped Green Chillies
  • to tasteBlack Salt or Salt
  • 1 tspGaram Masala
  • 1/4 tspDry Mango Powder /Amchur
  • 1/4 tspRoasted Cumin powder
  • 1 tbspDry Yeast
  • 1 tbspSugar
  • 1/2 cupLukewarm Water
  • 1/4 cupor more Water
  • 2 tbspOil
  • 1 tbspSesame Seeds
  • Unsalted Butter to add on Kulcha

Steps

2 :00-2:30 hours
  1. 1

    To make a stuffing mix potato, green chilli,Spinach leaves,salt,mango powder and roasted cumin powder.

  2. 2

    To make Kulcha, Add flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Add yeast and sugar to the lukewarm water and let it rise.

  3. 3

    Add the yeast and extra water little at a time to make a soft dough.

  4. 4

    Add 1 tbsp oil and knead it for 5 minutes.
    Apply 1/2 tsp oil on top and cover it and let it rise for 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Knead the dough again for 2 minutes.
    Divide the dough into equal portions and make round balls.

  6. 6

    Cover the balls for 20 minutes and keep it aside.
    After 15 minutes take one dough ball.

  7. 7

    Flatten the dough ball and add one portion of the stuffing in to it.

  8. 8

    Close the stuffing properly with the dough, flatten the dough and keep it to rest for another 15 minutes on a greased baking tray leaving some distance.

  9. 9

    Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  10. 10

    Bake at 200 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes in a pre heated oven.

  11. 11

    Add a tsp of butter and serve hot.. With curd and Pickle.
