Pork Rib Nilaga Pork Rib Nilaga
This is my Dad’s favorite Filipino dish. You can replace the corn with celery, or exchange pork ribs for beef shank. Serve with hot steamy jasmine rice and a side of fish sauce for dipping. Enjoy!PS; use the Instant Pot to make this finish faster! Cheryl -
Beef Serunding Beef Serunding
Best served as sprinkles for any soups. I like it on Soto Ayam with rice cakes (check my Soto Ayam recipe later on).My husband likes it on pizza. This is like a 반찬 (side dish) I'm not sure what's the right term for it in Malay because 'lauk' (like a lot bigger serving of 반찬) doesn't seem suitable.Apologies on the meat shreds not long like they're supposed traditionally. In Italy, they kinda sell only random cuts for stew :( 사린린 Sa Rinrin -

Beef Caldereta Beef Caldereta
This recipe is called Beef Caldereta or Kalderetang Baka which is a beef stew from the Philippines, brought by the Spanish people during their 300-year occupation in the country. The word “caldereta” is derived from the Spanish word “caldera”, which means “cauldron”, a large cast iron pot for cooking or boiling over an open fire, with a large pot and frequently with an arc-shaped hanger. There are many variations of this recipe but commonly, it is meat stewed with potatoes, carrots, bell pepper, pickle relish, green peas, peanut butter, tomato sauce, and liver paste. But for this recipe, I am going to be omitting liver paste, so this is still perfect for those who do not eat pork.Recipe by: @HomebasedChef homebasedchef -
