A traditional uttranchali dish Aloo Ke Gutke which is simpe and quick; prepared with mustard oil and spice mix.
Steps

Boil the potatoes with little salt and peel them.

Take a small bowl and mix coriander powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder with 2 teaspoons water.

Heat a frying pan with oil; add cumin seed, asafoetida and red chilli. Let it cook for about 15-20 seconds.

Add mixed spices and salt. Now add the potatoes and coat well with the spice mix. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes.
