Traditional Kerala Sea fish curry in my grandma style. Being a keralite, seafish was always part of our regular cuisine and seafood is quite healthier and good for health. My mom, her aunt, my grandma are very proficient when it comes to cooking fish.

Traditional Kerala Sea fish curry in my grandma style. Being a keralite, seafish was always part of our regular cuisine and seafood is quite healthier and good for health. My mom, her aunt, my grandma are very proficient when it comes to cooking fish.

Soak kudam Puli in 4 tbsp warm water for 30 minutes

Grind ginger garlic to paste

Heat 2.5 tbsp oil in earthen vessel, splutter mustard seeds
- 4
Add fenugreek seeds and saute until golden brown
- 5
Add ginger garlic paste and shallots with curry leaves. Saute until onions are golden brown

Add turmeric and red chilli powder. Mix well
- 7
Add kudam Puli water to the vessel, salt and 1 cup water. Mix well

Add 1 piece of kudam Puli to curry. Bring to boil
- 9
Add fish to curry. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes over low heat
- 10
Add 1 tbsp coconut oil and garnish with curry leaves. Serve hot with steamed rice
