Soak Rice and dal for at least 30 minutes.

Now take a cooker and put oil in it

Add cumin seeds, asfoteida in the oil. Now add whole red chilli bay leaf cinnamon sticks cloves and black pepper in it. After 1 min add onion and green chillies in it and mix it well.

Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala in it and mix it nicely.

When masala is cooked and leaving oil add soaked dal and basmati rice in it and mix it well.

Now add salt according to your taste.

Pour water and take three whistle

Release pressure and open lid.

Serve hot biryani with your favourite curry or raita.
