This is an easy recipe to make, and if you don’t know how to cook rice yet, this can help you.

Place the cup of rice in a strainer and rinse it. Let it drain and dry.

Chop the garlic and green bell pepper into small pieces.

Turn on the stove and set it to low heat. Add the tablespoon of oil to a pot, let it heat up, then add the bell pepper and garlic.

Sauté the bell pepper and garlic, then add the rice. Stir to combine.

Let the rice sauté, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t stick.

When the rice is loose and moves easily in the pot, add a pinch of salt (about what you can grab with three fingers) or to taste.

Add the 2 cups of water.
It’s important to use the same cup to measure both the rice and the water.
Tip: If you use 2 cups of rice, use 4 cups of water. - 8
Cook the rice for about 12 minutes or until all the water is absorbed.
Once done, it’s ready to serve.
