Remove head tail and fins and cut into 2"pieces.Smear haldi and salt and set aside for sometime.

Heat oil in a wok and sprinkle chopped garlic.Fry golden brown then add chopped onions and fry.Add chopped onion and fry till soft.Add loitta fish and toss.Then add salt,sugar,haldi,red chilli powder, garlic paste,garam masala and chopped green chillies.

There is enough water in fish.So no need to add excess water.Add juice of 1 whole lemon.Sprinkle 1 tbsp dry besan or 1 wet and mashed bread to make the preparation totally dry.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve preferably with rice or any flat bread.
