Season the steak with salt and pepper. Be generous people, it can take it. Heat about 1/4 cup of the oil in the pan until it's lightly smoking.

Place steak in the pan and sear it. The more color the better once content flip steak and repeat.

Crush your garlic and add it along with your thyme rosemary and butter. Baste the steak and rub the garlic all over it.

Flip the steak up on the edges to sear and render fat. Fat gives meat flavor it's not bad!

Once you achieve the cook you want and an even sear take the steak out and let it rest! Rest it for at least 5 minutes before doing anything to it ;)
