I've been trying to buy products directly from local producers to support my community. At the Lions Club here in Guadalajara, Jalisco, there's a weekend market where I get everything fresh, like this artisanal chorizo from Navarte.

I've been trying to buy products directly from local producers to support my community. At the Lions Club here in Guadalajara, Jalisco, there's a weekend market where I get everything fresh, like this artisanal chorizo from Navarte.

Add the butter to a hot skillet. Once it starts to melt, add the onion, garlic, and chili.

Remove the casing from the chorizo and crumble it over the softened onion.

Break up the chorizo as it cooks and mix well. Add your black beans, previously mashed, and stir.

Serve topped with queso fresco or panela cheese. The flavor is amazing!
