Sardine Empanadas with Tomato and Onion Sauce

Gather all the ingredients.

Mix the flour with the yeast, egg, salt, and warm water. Knead until the dough no longer sticks to your hands. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, clean the sardines and cook them in a skillet with salt for 5 minutes.

Chop the cooked sardines with a little onion, garlic, and salt. Mix well to make the filling for the empanadas.

Roll out the dough on a flat surface, cut out circles for the empanadas, and fill them with the sardine mixture.

Let the filled empanadas rest for 15 minutes to rise.

For the sauce, chop the onion and garlic and mix with the tomato.
