1egg yolk
1/2 cuphalf & half
2 tbspsugar
1/2vanilla bean
1/2 tspvanilla extract

Steps

Whisk together egg yolk, half & half, sugar, seeds from the vanilla bean and vanilla extract.

Cook over LOW heat for 8 - 10 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens slightly.

Remove from heat and set aside.

Strain before serving.
