Ingredients

  • For filling-
  • 1 cupfresh Grated coconut
  • 3/4 cupjaggery
  • For coating-
  • 1 cupall purposeflour
  • 1 tbspghee
  • 1 tspsalt
  • as neededLukewarm water for kneading dough
  • 1 cupOil - for deep frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat a pan and Melt jaggery and mix it with coconut.

  2. 2

    Cook it till it dries.

  3. 3

    Now keep it in side.

  4. 4

    Now makes all coating ingredients and make a stiff dough.

  5. 5

    Cover it in samp cloth for 10 minutes.

  6. 6

    Now make a large chapati from prepare dough and then make small circle shapes.

  7. 7

    Now fill small circles with prepared jaggery and coconut mixture.

  8. 8

    Now give it a modak Shape.

  9. 9

    Now fry it in hot oil in low flame till bubbles stops.

  10. 10

    Yummy modak ready.
