Ingredients

  1. 1 lbground beef or a mix of ground meats (about 450 grams)
  2. 7Roma tomatoes
  3. 1small can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  4. 1/8onion
  5. Chicken bouillon powder (such as Knorr)
  6. As needed, oil
  7. 2eggs
  8. 1/4 cupbreadcrumbs (about 30 grams)
  9. Salt, to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat a little oil in a pot—just enough to sauté the sauce or broth you’ll make.

  2. 2

    In a blender, combine the tomatoes, onion, 1 cup water (240 ml), and chipotle peppers to taste, depending on how spicy you want it.

  3. 3

    Return to the pot and pour in the blended sauce. Sauté the sauce.

  4. 4

    In a bowl, mix the ground beef, eggs, 1/2 tablespoon salt, and breadcrumbs. Stir until well combined.

  5. 5

    Once the sauce starts to boil, shape the meat mixture into balls of your preferred size and add them to the sauce.

  6. 6

    When all the meatballs are in, let the mixture boil and season with chicken bouillon powder.

  7. 7

    That’s it—enjoy!
