Rinse the tomatoes thoroughly and chop them roughly

Transfer them into a pressurecooker and add water enough to cook it. cook the tomatoes until 2-3 whistles.Alternatively combine tomatoes and water to boil them until the tomatoes soften in a saucepan

Let the tomatoes cool off a bit

Transfer them into a blender

Blend into a smooth purée

Sieve the purée into a bowl, thus separating the seeds/skin

Place a non stick wok or heavy bottom saucepan on the stove and heat it

Add the tomato purée in the saucepan and let it come to a boil

Once boiling, reduce heat and add the seasonings one by one and mix

Keep cooking the sauce in Low heat until it thickens to the desired consistency

Turn off the heat and transfer the sauce to a sterilised ceramic or glass container

Let the sauce cool completely before usage

Enjoy your homemade delicious tomato sauce with sandwiches, burgers, fries, etc

My tip: Use a fine sieve to separate the remains. Need to be patient, as the process may take time.

My tip: Use more/less sugar and chilli depending on the taste of the tomatoes.chilli powder can be substituted with all spice powder too, if desired
