Lookin for a game day recipe? Something simple, a one-pot recipe, that can easily be reheated? Look no further! Don’t thank me, thank John Legend. And Chrissy Teigen.

PS, I added 1 ingredient to make this mine :) feel free to cook this in the Instant Pot. I did!

Ingredients

50 mins
6-8 people
  1. 1 lbground beef
  2. 1med onion; chopped
  3. 1 cupmushrooms; chopped
  4. 1large poblano; chopped
  5. 2 tbspLawry’s Seasoning Salt
  6. 3 tbspchili powder
  7. 1 tspcayenne pepper
  8. 3 clovesgarlic; minced
  9. 2 (15 oz)cans tomato sauce
  10. 2 (15 oz)cans kidney beans; washed & drained
  11. 2 tbsplight brown sugar

Cooking Instructions

50 mins
  1. 1

On a med-high heat, add in your ground beef, onion, mushrooms, poblano, seasoning salt, chili, and cayenne.

  2. 2

Sauté until the beef is cooked and the mushrooms wilt a little.

  3. 3

Stir in your garlic and cook for 1 min.

  4. 4

Add 2 cups of water (or beer of choice), tomato sauce, beans, and brown sugar. PS, beer adds a nice depth of flavor! Bring to a boil.

  5. 5

Reduce heat to med-low and simmer for at least 30mins. I like to let mine simmer uncovered to thicken the consistency. Stir occasionally.

  6. 6

Bring this to your next game day get together with sour cream, green onions, cheddar cheese and Fritos. Enjoy!
