For besan ki tikki - In a bowl mix besan, khas-khas, all the spices and 1 tablespoon oil.

Add little water to this mixture and make a semi-soft dough. Keep this dough aside for at least 20 mins.

Boil water in a pan and add some oil in it. Grease your hands with oil. Take a small portion of the dough. Press them between your palms and make tikki.

Add these tikkis into the boiling water. After 4-5 mins they will start to float in the water. Drain them and keep them aside for cooling. Don't throw the water used for boiling away. We will use it for the gravy.

When the tikkis cool down, deep fry them till they turn golden brown and keep them aside.

For gravy - Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add tej patta and black cardamom and onions. Saute for one minute.

Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2-3 mins. Now add chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and turmeric powder.

Add green chilli and salt and tomato. Mix well. Add half cup of water and pressure cook it for 1 whistle.

When the pressure drops open the led and steer the gravy. Add half a glass of water (you can also use the water used for boiling the tikkis)

Simir the gravy for 5-7 mins.

Now add the tikkis into the gravy. Simir again for 2-3 mins. Add garam masala and green coriander to it.

Serve this dish with roti, paratha or rice.
