Method
1. Combine the flour with enough water and knead into a semi-stiff dough. Cover and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes. Divide into 6 equal portions. - 2
Filling
1. Pressure cook the chana dal on low heat till 5 to 6 whistles. - 3
2. When the pressure settles down open the cooker and drain off the water completely.

3. Then mash the dal properly. Add sugar and cook stirring continuously till the mixture thickens and starts to separate the pan.

4. Remove from heat and add nutmeg powder or cardamom powder.

5. Mix well. The Puran (stuffing) is ready to make paratha or poli.
