Wash and peel your potatoes and cut them into cubes (size depends on how big or small you want the end result to be)

Put them in a sauce pan, pour in some water to just touch the surface of the potatoes, sprinkle alittle salt(I feel it gives the potatoes more flavour) set on heat and boil until they are almost cooked (use a skewer to check tenderness)

In a bowl, add all other ingredients except the water, using a hand mixer or wooden spoon, add water gradually as you mix until you obtain a smooth paste.

Place a pan on heat and add enough oil for frying. Coat each potatoe in the flour mixture and deep fry the potatoes several at a time for about 2-3 minuted or until they become crisp.

Remove and drain the oil and repeat the same process until all the potatoes are cooked

Serve, with some chutney and/or tamarind sauce.
