Have this special chocolate ravioli this festive season. Ravioli is generally served as meal with different types of sauce. I have changed it to make a very delicious chocolate dessert with Indian khoya flavour.

Have this special chocolate ravioli this festive season. Ravioli is generally served as meal with different types of sauce. I have changed it to make a very delicious chocolate dessert with Indian khoya flavour.
Steps
- 1
For the ravioli dough take together flour, cocoa powder, icing sugar and salt in a sieve.
- 2
Sieve together and add vegetable oil.
- 3
Knead with about 1/4th cup of water to make a little sticky dough.
- 4
Cover and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 5
For the khowa filling heat1/2 cup of milk and 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan.
- 6
When the milk starts boiling add icing sugar and milk powder.
- 7
Mix well and cook in low flame for about 5 minutes or till the mixture becomes thick.
- 8
Remove from heat and add crushed cashew and desiccated coconut.
- 9
Mix well and transfer to a bowl.
- 10
Make 2 balls out of the prepared dough.
- 11
Make thin rectangular shapes sheet with the help of rolling pin.
- 12
Take a chocolate mould like the picture below. you can make ravioli without this also.
- 13
Spread one sheet over the mould.
- 14
Fill each cavity with the prepared Khoya mixture.
- 15
Cover with another sheet.
- 16
Press sides and edges of each cavity with finger to seal nicely and flip the mould.
- 17
Gently remove the mould from the sheets.
- 18
Now trim off the sides and also separate each ravioli with a sharp knife.
- 19
With a fork seal the sides of each ravioli like the picture below.
- 20
Like this use the whole dough to make the raviolis.
- 21
Make a sugar water by boiling 4 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar.
- 22
When the syrup starts boiling add the prepared raviolis.
- 23
Pouch them in sugar water for about 5 to 6 minutes.
- 24
Drain them in a colander.
- 25
For the sauce take the leftover khoya filling in a pan.
- 26
Add 1/2 cup of full fat whole milk.
- 27
Cook them in low heat for 4-5 minutes to make a thick saucy consistency.
- 28
Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- 29
Transfer the strained raviolis to a plate. You can eat them as they are. They are really tasty.
- 30
I dusted some icing sugar on them.
- 31
At the time of serving pour some khoya sauce in the serving plate and then put chocolate raviolis over it.
- 32
Enjoy the delicious chocolate dessert.
