Wash the omena with warm water.

Put it in a sufuria and let it boil for 5 minutes.squeeze the lemon and add it the boiling omena. Add salt to taste.

Drain excess water from the boiled omena.Heat cooking oil on a separate sufuria enough to deep fry the omena.

Put the boiled omena in the heated oil, cook until golden brown. Remove the fried omena from fire and drain excess oil.

On aseparate sufuria, cook onions and tomatoes and add in the fried omena.

Add a half a cup of water and let it heat for two minutes. Ready to be served with ugali.
