Measure all ingredients

Preheat the oven at 160 degrees

Grease baking tin and put aside

Sieve flour(this helps to incorporate air to help the cake to rise)

Mix butter and sugar till it becomes fluffy or white in color

Beat one egg at a time in bowl and add to mixture

Add vanilla essence and beat for a minute

Add flour alternating with milk (start with flour and end with flour for better result)

Pour the butter to the greased baking tin and place at center of oven

Bake for 40 minutes

When is ready (as in when you put a knife and comes out clear) cool for 15-30 minutes then remove from baking tin

Cool for 4hrs

Decorate(wrapping with cling film
