Fry the onion and garlic in oil till brown

Add minced beef. Sprinkle OXO cubes on top and mix well. Ensure beef is well separated.

Add sliced bacon. Mix until all meat is cooked.

Add chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, wine and herbs. Mix well

Allow to simmer with the lid off for 30-60 minutes to reduce.

Once sufficiently reduced (1-2 cm down the side of pan) put the lid on and allow to simmer for at least another 30 minutes, preferably an hour. The longer the better.
