Ingredients

  1. 250 gmlauki/ bottle gourd
  2. 2medium tomato (grated)
  3. 1small potato
  4. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  5. 2green chillies
  6. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  7. 1/2 cupwater
  8. as neededOil
  9. Panch phoran masala :-
  10. 1/2 tspmethi dana
  11. 1/2 tspsaunf (aniseed)
  12. 1/2 tspkalonji (nigella seed)
  13. 1/2 tspcumin seed
  14. 1/2 tspmustard seed
  15. Dry spices:-
  16. 1 tspcoriander powder
  17. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  18. 1/2 tsphaldi/ turmeric powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel and cut the lauki and potato in dices,

  2. 2

    Heat the oil in cooker on medium flame

  3. 3

    Add panch phoran masala in oil let them crackle, then add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, let them cook then add grated tomato, salt and all dry spices

  4. 4

    Cook this mixture till oil get separated from masala,

  5. 5

    Now add cut louki and potato and 1/2 cup water, mix well cover the lid and take 2 whistle on medium flame

  6. 6

    After cooling add garam masala cook for another 1 minute granish with coriander leaves and serve with roti or rice.
