Ingredients

  • 500 mlmilk
  • 2-3long leaves of lemongrass
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • 2 tbspsugar
  • 2-3cardamoms crushed
  • 2-3peppercorns coarsely grinded
  • 2-3cloves(lavang)
  • 1/2"" ginger pieces or 1 tsp dry ginger powder
  • Few tulsi leaves (basil)
  • Few mint leaves (phudina)

  1. 1

    Wash lemongrass leaves(bundle it), tulsi,mint leaves. Crush cardamoms,black peppercorns, chopped fresh ginger.

    In vessel,add water and sugar,boil it. Add milk, lemongrass bundle,tulsi,mint leaves, cardamoms, peppercorns,cloves,ginger pieces(or dry ginger powder).

    Bring to boil,on medium flame. Off the flame.

    Strain lemongrass flavoured milk in milk mug.

    Serve/ relish Lemongrass flavoured milk with methi khakhras/ bajra rotla/ toast bread slices to make healthy breakfast for winter morning.
