In a pot, add the butter and olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté, then add the chickpeas and stir.

Rinse the bulgur thoroughly and drain well. Add it to the pot and gently stir to combine.

Add the tomatoes, salt, spices, and tomato paste.

Pour in 2 1/4 cups water (about 530 ml). Cover and cook over low heat until the bulgur is tender.

Cooking time: 40 minutes.

Once cooked, remove from heat, serve, and enjoy.
