Everyone loves popovers (Yorkshire puddings). You can fill these with any number of things. A slice of roast beef, some horseradish cream and a slice of roast potato and you have a Sunday roast you can hold in your hand. OR fill with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, some lemon curd
and some shortbread crumbs and enjoy them as a dessert instead 😊 The choices are endless.

Ingredients

20 minutes
Serves 6 servin
  1. 200 gramsflour
  2. 200 mlsmilk
  3. 4large eggs
  4. Pinchsalt
  5. Vegetable oil

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix together with a whisk the flour, milk, eggs and salt until a smooth batter is formed. Place the batter in the fridge for 1 hour.

  2. 2

    After 50 minutes, Preheat the oven to 220°C (420°F)

  3. 3

    Put about a quarter-inch of the vegetable oil in each of twelve muffin holes in a pan and place in the oven until begins to smoke

  4. 4

    Take out and carefully pour or ladle the batter from the fridge evenly into each muffin hole. (watch for oil splatter!)

  5. 5

    Quickly place muffin tray back in the oven and cook for 20 minutes WITHOUT opening the oven door.

  6. 6

    After 20 minutes remove tray from oven and remove the popovers onto paper towels.

  7. 7

    Enjoy!

The bestest lil country on the planet!
I was born at a very young age in London, England but came to my tiny piece of santuary in the Pacific when I was barely walking.Self taught myself ethnic cooking such as Indian, Moroccan and Thai and found a love of baking, especially French inspired desserts.I cook for friends and...well...anyone that wants to eat really lol.I work day in-day out with people that have committed serious crimes and cooking helps me refocus my energies when I've had a rough day.Cooking is my 'happy place'.......I find my zen when I'm pulling together a dish.I love the outdoors, swimming in the ocean and lakes over here, I'm a keen photographer, paint abstracts when the mood grips me and I'm a multiple papercut survivor!My mantra...'If you want what you've never had...you have to do what you've never done'
