Ingredients

3 - 4 servings
  • 500 gFresh Chicken liver
  • 2Ripe tomatoes chopped
  • 1Large onion chopped/sliced
  • 3 tbspvegetable oil
  • 2 TbspVinegar/ fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsptumeric powder
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspchilli powder
  • 1 tspgaram masala powder
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1 tspgarlic/ginger paste
  • 1 handfulcurry leaves
  • green/red chillies (optional)
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak your liver in water and vinegar for a few mins. Wash it off.

  2. 2

    Marinate liver with ginger/garlic paste, chilli powder, tumeric, coriander and garam masala and set aside for 30mins.

    In a pot, add oil, curry leaves, onions and mustard seeds and fry on low - medium heat. Add your whole green/red chillies (optional)

    Pour in your marinated liver.

  5. 5

    Saute for 5 minutes. Then add in salt.

  6. 6

    Add in your chopped tomatoes, mix well and let it cook till the tomatoes soften.

  7. 7

    Liver is ready to serve!

    Note: You can skip the tomatoes and do a dry fry - still as delicious.
