Steps

Soak the urad dal and rice separately for 3-4 hour and grind to make smooth paste.

Then mix the urad dal paste for sometime with your hand to make the pitha so floppy.

Then mix the both the paste and mix salt into it and cover it for sometime.

In the mean time prepare the stuffing of coconut.

Put a pan on gas and put jaggery into it and when it melts then add the grated coconut along with the cardamom and black pepper powder and cook for sometimes till it dry completely.

Then put s vessel with water in it and allow it to boil.

Over it put a perforated pot which is use for steaming. Then over it put a clean and wet cloth.

Then pour the batter and the stuffing in layer pattern and cover it with a lid.

Steam it for 45-50 minutes (Depend upon the thickness of the pitha).

After that you can check it otherwise let it steam for another 5-10 minutes

Switch off the flame. When if cool completely then cut into pieces and serve.
