Ingredients

  • 1 cupRice
  • 1 cupChopped fresh veggies-carrot,potato,green peas,onion
  • 3 tbspCashews
  • 2 1/2 cupWater
  • 2 tspSalt or as needed
  • 2 tbspOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash rice and rinse

  2. 2

    Chop the veggies

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a cooker, add chopped veggies and saute

  4. 4

    Add cashews and saute

  5. 5

    Add rice, salt and water

  6. 6

    Take 1 boil and the cover the cooker with lid and take 2-3 whistles.

  7. 7

    Your yummy healthy pulao is ready

  8. 8

    Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander and with raita, pickle,etc.
