Heat oil in a pan add nigella seeds and celery seeds along with whole red chilli

As it crackle add chopped and sliced gourd and pumpkin
- 3
Saute well adding salt and turmeric powder and cover till it is soft
- 4
Now add the dal and water
- 5
Boil it well till all the vegetables are soft and the dal is ready to be served
