This is an easy-to-make Nam Prik Ong that tastes just like the authentic Northern Thai version. I can easily make it in my apartment without any hassle.

Grind the dried chilies, garlic, shallots, and 1-2 tomatoes until fine.

Dice the remaining tomatoes as small as possible.

Heat oil in a pan until hot, then add the ground mixture and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add the ground pork and continue to stir-fry until cooked.

Add the diced tomatoes and simmer for about 5-8 minutes, allowing the pork and tomatoes to blend well (add a little water to prevent the pan from burning).

Once simmered, add seasonings (it's recommended to add only fish sauce and MSG; adding more may alter the taste).

Done! Serve in a bowl and garnish with a little green onion and cilantro. Ready to serve 💓🍴 (I added a bit more green onion and cilantro because I like it).
